Round the Island race 2007

Starting as usual from Somerleyton on Saturday 18th August this was the 24th running of the race and the tides were of little help, low water at Yarmouth Yacht Station being 0735 and 2009, high water being 1250. A glimpse at the results show that start times did not seem critical and neither was handicap. Winner overall on handicap was Shruff followed by Puck and Zephyr who were only separated by 0.78 seconds after handicapping. Its not often that a result has to be calculated using fractions of seconds!

Puck took the Somerleyton Jubilee (the rest within the class having retired) and the Anne cup and Round the Island trophy were both collected by Zephyr.
