- The Round the Island Race started in 1984 as a way to expand the Club’s activities.
Details of the race and supper will be sent out approximately six weeks prior to the race. If you have any questions, please contact Mark Thorne at vicecommodore@greenwyvern.org.uk
The race is open to all River Cruiser Class yachts and is part of the RCC Sabrina Trophy. The race nowadays starts at Somerleyton – early races started at St Olaves. The two bridges on the course have to be passed under within race time and the tides often present a challenge.
2024 – Saturday 29th June – Somerleyton Staithe. The will potentially be an organised post race supper at The Dukes Head. More information will be provided closer to the race date.
