Tim Hurren is stepping down as our Examiner of Accounts at the AGM. Tim has done this role for many years and his help has been greatly appreciated, as was his wise counsel, when developing our Club Finance Policy.
Stephen Carter has stepped down from the Committee. I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Club, to thank Stephen for all of his time and expertise in organising five weeks of successful Club sailing this year.
The Time Scale to the AGM is as follows:
18th September (6 weeks to AGM)
a. Notification of AGM
b. Any Committee nominations should be received by midnight on the Monday 26th September.
26th September (5 weeks to the AGM)
a. Closing date for committee nominations is midnight, Monday 26th September. Nominations received after this time will not be considered.
b. Any Rear Commodore nominations should be received with a proposer and second.
N.B. Under our Club Rule 13.2.1, any nominations for Rear Commodore should be passed to the Club Secretary, stating the reasons for nomination, including a proposer and second six weeks in advance of the AGM. This year, due to the fact that our committee meeting could not be held until six weeks before the AGM, the committee is suggesting that the dead line date for nominations is deferred to September 26th.
27th September (Nearly 5 weeks to the AGM)
a. Committee voting forms circulated if required.
9th October (3 weeks to the AGM)
a. Closing date for postal/email votes for people unable to attend the AGM.
b. Any Motions should be received for the AGM.
c. Reports sent to the Secretary for circulation prior to the AGM:
Commodore’s Report
Vice Commodore – Racing
Secretary – Everything except Club Weeks and Racing
Treasurer – Club Accounts and Financial report

16th October (2 weeks to the AGM). The following will be circulated:

If you need any clarification or help with the above please contact me.
Best wishes
