Notice of the De-Rigging Party and Annual General Meeting 2014

Dear Members,

The De-rigging Party will be held on Saturday 1st November 2014 at The Reedcutter, Cantley from 7.00p.m. – buffet supper £12.00 per person. Please let me know if you are coming by Friday 24th October.

The Annual General Meeting 2014 will be held on Sunday 2nd November 2014 at The Reedcutter, Cantley at 10.00a.m.

    3. Treasurer
    4. Meeting Secretary
    5. Sailing Secretary
    6. Club Secretary

Thank you to the many people who responded – always good to have ‘new eyes’ for such important proposals. All responses were very positive and helpful. Two suggestions from the feedback so far should be considered by the AGM:

  • Mike Ashton noticed that we had not referenced our rules to our Finance Policy. This has been added to Section 5 (printed in Red) and renumbered accordingly.
  • On the subject of Subscriptions, if we decide to introduce them, Peter Lowes thought that only members who have paid their subscription should be eligible to vote at the AGM.

The Time Scale to the AGM is as follows:

13th September (7 weeks to the AGM)

a.    Notification of AGM.
b.    Requests for nominations for all positions in Number 2 above.
c.    Requests for any amendments to Club Rules, Ranks, Fees and Subscriptions.

27th September (5 weeks to the AGM)

a.    Closing date for committee nominations.
b.    Closing date for any amendments to Club Rules, Ranks, Fees and Subscriptions.

4th October (4 weeks to the AGM)

a.    Committee voting forms circulated if required.
b.    Amendments forms circulated if required.

11th October (3 weeks to the AGM)

a.    Closing date for postal votes for people unable to attend the AGM.

18th October (2 weeks to the AGM). The following will be circulated:

  1. Final Agenda;
  2. Minutes of the 2013 AGM; and
  3. Reports and associated papers including proposed 2015 Calendar.

2nd November – AGM
